Set Heels to the Hired Hounds of Hell

She strode down the dark halls of the citadel of the Oak like an old wolf in a ghostly sheep's clothing. The Order was at rest. All studies and duties had been set aside by the keepers of the druidic arts who now lie in sleep. The beautiful yet utilitarian passages were all quiet and abandoned. Faint moonlight slipped in through high windows and filled the emptychambers and studies with an eerie glow. She paid no mind to the heaps of knowledge stored within. She knew most of it by now, and could likely recite hundreds of the tomes in the various libraries by heart if she had to.

No Festival For Living Legends

Morning would bring them their beginnings with clear skies and chill wind that left muscles tight, a reflection of tensions that now existed strongly between certain members of the ten. But for the most part talk was light and sparse and travel was swift, given to following the sure leadership of the bearish Borkus Browkurse in navigating the Dragluln's passes. Dwarven Farewells

Outside of the dwarven council chamber, in the great under-earth, Shalon found Quilencce waiting patiently, seated in an ornamental space, like a large garden gazebo, with concaved rounded steps leading up on all sides to a dome supported on pillars. He sat on the stoop as if it were his home. Shalon veered towards him, strides smoth and silent. The dwarven council guard merely let him go, but kept close eye on the two of them. Drawn from meditation by the solid rapping of thick dwarven knuckles on their chamber door, Shalon's eyes slipped open. He sat kneeling to the hinge side of the portal's barrier. The sun was risen, and Quilencce lie still and sleeping soundly. Or at least it looked to be so. This would be a series of quick, (not speedpaintings by any means) concept roughs, (photshop 7, wacom intos 3) of the royal Airship of "The Harq'.", who is a religious/cult leader in the "Brotherhood of Dannel" story I'm developing.

The vessel only has two orientalish sails, and a dual propeller drive, opposing cycle revolutions, powered by some mysterious means. They do not rotate very swiftly and the vessel cannot travel very fast either. Its more like a sluggish blimp. It is filled with a flammable, very bouyant gas.
Thus, the Lateral Sails aren't Sails for momentum atall. In fact, they are what slows the ship down and makes it ponderous. The lateral sails are made of thick leather sheets patched together to better protect the delicate balloon from attacks coming from below via archers and other such stuff... surprisingly, the sheets are rather effective, covering the broad majority of angles that long bows would be able to shoot when within range from below.
Saggy leather shields is basically what they are.

Protecting the top has proven unnecessary, because no one else has flying ships.

The Harq has essentially proclaimed himself king of the world, and is therefore a villain. His underlings are the Dahmpihn, and they hail from across a western sea/ocean...

The cult of the Harq' drinks the blood of all living things and seeks to consume all free peoples and either convert them into Dahmpihn or destroy them.

Think of the Dahmpihn, and especially the Harq' himself as vampire-like...having powers and being capable of superhuman feats, but without the fear/weakness of sunlight.
