Sorry, its been forever since I've drawn ANYTHING.

This is For those of you who think Elves are all cuddly and nice.
AND for those of you who'd like to follow a story a bit, well, less pleasant than a typical fantasy always is...

Believe me, I love elves (more than any other fantastic race, and likely more than humanity as we know it--- by far).

However, on Arillus, The Elves aren't all cuddly and nice, but instead only delude themselves into believing they are high and mighty.
In fact, they're much like Men, in Shalon's time.

Shalon, the victim of this cruel torture, was deemed a traitor, and after succumbing in battle against an assassin with an unnamed 'black' blade...is strung up as bait for his allies, right in the very gates of the grandeur of the Elf Lord, Irwin'Ariem's palace.

For six days, he hangs. He's whipped, flogged and beaten etc, etc. roughly once an hour, all around the clock by a rotating shift of Elves.
Keep in mind, he is beaten for a reason, for Shalon possesses and extremely powerful will/mind. He rises up against his chains from within the depths of a delirium (wrought by the 'black' blade), regardless of the fact that he's hanging 'tautly' and possesses no leverage for an average attempt at breaking his bonds.

Thus, every time he rises, roughly an hour or so apart, he his whipped until long after his mustered concentration is shattered, leaving him to sag back to rest. (yes, that is why most of his clothing ends up lacking.)

I'm thinking about using this for the cover of Phoenixfall, the first book of the LoDE saga...

I'm also pondering coloring it.
or, at least using it as the base for an entirely seperate piece of work, digitally painted.
OR if someone wants to give it a shot, I issue a CHALLENGE!

Anyone who can paint this, (very well), Might just find themselves as the person I'd gladly commission for the Book Cover!
